The main StationRipper application will run on any version of Windows from Windows 95 to Windows 8. If you're on a old version of Windows, like 95, you may be restricted to just recording Shoutcast. All new versions of Windows will be able to use the advanced features, like Web 2.0 recording. If you can run Windows, you will probably have enough RAM and CPU. While some users still use StationRipper on slow modems, it's recommended you get as good a connection as you can - while recoding a few stations will consume very little bandwidth, if you record several hundred, it will gladly consume whatever you give it.
StationRipper takes very little space on your hard-drive - but if you record a lot, it will fill up a hard-drive fast - many gigs, if you let it!
